Well – firstly apologies for the delay since the last update. I can’t believe it has been around two months! I guess I’ve been busy with my practice, with my course, and the rest…
I have a series of posts in the pipeline based on old Sigmund Freud. In the meantime, here’s a fun tool if you’re into Myers-Briggs tests: http://www.typealyzer.com/index.php?lang=en – this one will ‘analyse’ a blog and tell you the character type of the author(s).
Does it work? Who knows, here’s what it had to say about me!
INTJ – The Scientists
The long-range thinking and individualistic type. They are especially good at looking at almost anything and figuring out a way of improving it – often with a highly creative and imaginative touch. They are intellectually curious and daring, but might be pshysically hesitant to try new things.
The Scientists enjoy theoretical work that allows them to use their strong minds and bold creativity. Since they tend to be so abstract and theoretical in their communication they often have a problem communcating their visions to other people and need to learn patience and use conrete examples. Since they are extremly good at concentrating they often have no trouble working alone.
It’s not far wrong , actually, although I am generally more extrovert than introvert, and slightly more perception than judgment; if you own (or regularly read) a blog – why not give it a try!
That’s all for now. I’ll be back soon with a (series of) longer updates.
Warm regards,
Adrian

That’s interesting, Adrian. I have several blogs, and my hypnotherapy one matches my tested personality (INTJ as well), but the others don’t – they are ESTP, INTP and ISTP.
At least something remains constant – I’m a T everywhere.

mmm, i’ll have to try that test on my blog, should be interesting as it’s more visual, not really much writing.
For some reason I feel surprised that your upcoming posts will be on freud rather than Jung, I have no idea why! I’m looking forward to them anyway:)

Thanks for the comments. I’m not certain how the analyser works, presumably it takes the orientation of individual words (extroverted vs introverted words; thinking words vs feeling words, etc) – I can only imagine the attribution of type to words to be pretty Arbitrary. Interesting stuff though!
Tracy – there will be a Jung series coming up, probably in January. Ole Siggy first, then Alfred Adler (a personal favorite of mine) and then Jung (which I’m looking forward to!)
Cheers for the comments,
Adrian

I like Myers-Briggs, though my only ever constant is N! I console myself that personality is not static (much more preferable to being classified as a loony). A friend recently went on a ‘develop your other side’ Myers-Briggs’ weekend which sounded very interesting – awareness of why clashes exist between thinkers and feelers, judgers and perceivers instead of just concluding ‘she’s a pillock’!
I look forward to the rest!

Hmm, fun little tool! I usually come out as idealist teacher ENFJ – which is almost perfect (in my humble opinion!) but the typealyzer thinks my blog is ESFP – Performer, which is right in the sense that it’s a personal, emotional journal, but I’m too much of a planner and organiser to fit this really.
Mind you it did perform the task in a nano second!
Nice to see you’re back in the world of blogging Adrian!

These kind of test match evantually something of you.And you understand that it matches, that means you’ve already known about it;-)
But anyway I like to play with these kind of games;-) Thanks Adrien, please take care of your health even though you are busy!
